At Bacon’s Castle Baptist Church, we believe in the power of the Word—Jesus Christ—who came to bring light and life to the world. As His followers, we are called to carry the Word to others, whether in our local communities or across the globe.

That’s why we embrace LOGOS as the framework for our outreach efforts. Rooted in the Greek—λόγος, meaning “Word,”—LOGOS reminds us of our calling to go and spread this Word—Christ—locally, globally, and by supporting those who carry out this Biblical mandate.

LOGOS stands for:

LO – Local Outreach: Reaching our community with the love of Christ.
GO – Global Outreach: Taking the gospel to the nations.
S – Support: Strengthening and equipping those who serve.

LOGOS is more than just a name—it reflects our calling to proclaim the Word of God through action, service, and faithful obedience.

LO: Local Outreach

Our Local Outreach efforts focus on making Christ known right where we live. We believe that outreach begins in our own communities, as we share the gospel and meet needs with love.

Ways we engage in LO include:

Community Service – Demonstrating Christ’s love through practical acts of kindness.
Evangelism & Discipleship – Equipping our church to share their faith boldly.
Ministry Partnerships – Working alongside local organizations to serve the vulnerable.

From helping a struggling family to mentoring young people, every act of service is an opportunity to show the love of Christ and share His truth.

GO: Global Outreach

Jesus commanded us to “go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19), and we take that command to heart. Through Global Outreach, we extend the gospel beyond our local community to the nations.

Ways we engage in GO include:

Short-Term Global Outreach Trips – Hands-on opportunities to serve in various parts of the world.
Church Planting & Evangelism – Partnering with global partners to establish gospel-centered communities.
Reaching the Unreached – Supporting efforts to share Christ with those who have never heard.

We believe in both going and sending—whether stepping onto foreign soil or equipping others to proclaim the gospel where it has not yet been heard.

S: Support

Living out LOGOS doesn’t happen alone. Behind every outreach partner, church planter, and community volunteer is a church that prays, gives, and encourages.

Ways we engage in S include:

Prayer – Committing to intentional prayer for partners and their work.
Financial Giving – Supporting outreach through generous contributions.
Encouragement – Sending care packages, writing letters, and fostering relationships with those on the field.

The body of Christ is called to stand with those who go—to lift them up in prayer, support their needs, and remind them they are not alone.

The Great Commission is not just for a select few—it’s a calling for every believer. Whether through praying, serving, or giving, we can all play a role in fulfilling Christ’s command.
