🏆 The Winner Is!

Camp has been a blast! Tonight, the kids had their big award ceremony. All the scores were tallied—from games, scripture memory, and even cabin cleanliness. Each cabin created their own cheer to represent themselves, and the energy was off the charts—everyone was pumped and loud!

Check below to see who won!
(P.S. The winning team also earned the most scripture memory points of the summer!)

📸 Snapshots from a Fun-Filled Day

Today has been packed with fun! I snapped some photos during lunch, before chapel, and during tonight’s game time. Game night was wild—the teens came ready to compete! They played a fast-paced game called Tic Tac Tic Tac Toe, where they had to bring a random item called out by the ref. After that, they battled it out in mini-games, and the winner of each round claimed a square on the tic-tac-toe board. Everyone had a blast. I’ve also included a few videos so you can enjoy the action too!

💖 A Love That Lasts a Lifetime

Rand shared that a true love story is one that pleases God with Patience and Purity, and this is what leads to a Love that Lasts a Lifetime. We encourage you to listen and be ready to talk with your student(s) about any commitments made tonight. Now off to free time and late-night games! 🥳

This is a picture of them all praying to stay pure and honor God in purity.

Family Reunion

We had a great time at the family reunion today! The students shared so many fun stories—everything from how well they’re doing with their verse memorization, to the activities they’re enjoying, to what they’ve been learning during devotions and chapel time. Here are their smiling faces!

P.S. Pray for us as we walk up and down these stairs everyday. That we may not faint or grow weary. 🙂

Living Out My New Life in Christ — AT HOME

Ephesians 4:11–16 · Rand Hummel

🛐 PRAY ABOUT ANYTHING!

🚫 NEVER BE AFRAID

📖 What has God given the church—and me personally—to help reach Christlikeness? (Eph 4:11–13)

  • What is God’s goal for each one of us? ➤ Spiritual Maturity
  • What is God’s desire for each of us? ➤ Christlikeness

💬 How can God’s truth, spoken in love, move me from immaturity to speaking the truth in love? (Eph 4:14–15)

  • God’s goal = Spiritual Maturity
  • God’s desire = Christlikeness

"He has an individualized plan for each of us… We cannot play spiritual Mr. Potato Head — keep the parts where God put them."

— "The BE Series" by Warren Wiersbe

🎁 Spiritual Gifts

Each spiritual gift is a unique call to minister the Word of God in a specific way:

  • Apostles, Evangelists, Pastors, Teachers
  • Their role: To properly explain and teach the Bible in ways that help all people clearly understand God’s truth.

📜 Qualifications for Leaders (1 Tim 3 / Titus 1)

Be controlled by the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23):

  • Am I self-controlled or out of control?
  • Do I respond with gentleness or anger?
  • Am I faithful and dependable, or do I need to be asked continually?
  • Am I known as a “good kid” or a “bad kid”?
  • Do I show kindness or harshness?
  • Am I patient or impatient?
  • Am I a peacemaker, faker, or breaker?
  • Am I fun to be around? Do I laugh and enjoy life?
  • Do I love myself more, or my family more?
❤️ Be controlled by God’s love (1 Corinthians 13:4–8)

Evening Chapel

We got caught in the rain on the way to chapel this evening but we didn't let the downpour keep us away.

Day 2: Afternoon Adventures

The fun continued this evening with team games. The students are on the Blue team. Unfortunately they didn't win but they were having a blast! I'll see if I can catch Addi and Blake this evening.

Day 2: Morning Worship

We've been busy with the separate schedule they have for sponsors, but as we were going to and fro, we have spied a couple of our teens out in the wild. We found Esther and Libby doing their verses before chapel.

"I want to listen to VBS music!"

Day 1: Travels!

We've been traveling for about 6 hours now. We had a great send-off with only one forgotten pillow. Dad came to the rescue. We made a couple of pit stops and stopped for lunch to refuel. We are about an hour out now. Everyone is napping before we arrive - they are all tuckered out. Looking forward to a great week!
