Church Library
The Bacon’s Castle Baptist Church Library offers the very best in Christian resources to enhance the quality of ministry, discipleship, fellowship, and worship in the lives of our members. Because we believe there is great value in reading, viewing, and listening to Christian material, we see our ministry as that of enriching education programs within the church, as well as extending Christian influence beyond the walls of our church to equip the members and friends of the congregation to pursue Jesus Christ passionately as they impact their world.
Our library provides a variety of media for you and your family including fiction and non-fiction books, videos, DVDs, audio books and music CDs. New items are being added on a weekly basis. We have something for every age group and interest. From hot-off-the-press releases to beloved classics, these items present a Christ-centered world view, designed to help you and your family, in your day-to-day walk, as you strive to become more like Christ.
The library is located in two rooms. The room adjoining the Church Office holds adult and junior fiction books, biographies, reference materials, audio books, music tapes and CD’s. The room across the hall from the Church Office holds adult non-fiction books, adult and children DVD & VHS movies and children’s book & audio tapes.
The BCBC Library is open whenever the building is open. Self service check-out procedures are posted on the desk. The library uses the Dewey Decimal Classification System and maintains a computerized catalog system for locating books by title, subject or author. A spreadsheet of all titles can be obtained by contacting the Church Office. All materials may be checked out for a two-week period. There is a grace period of 2 additional weeks and then patrons are notified of overdue material via email or written notice.
There are two Book Return drop boxes for your convenience. You will find them at the back of the Main Sanctuary and also outside the door of the Church Office.
Donations are accepted for all books and media with Christian content; however, the library committee and church staff will determine which donated books or other media are appropriate to add to our collection. Please contact the church office if you have questions about donations. The Donation Box is located outside of the Church Office.

And be sure to check out the display rack in the hallway outside of the Church Office for a sampling of New Titles.
